So if sleep is for the weak.. I guess I am giving in to weakness.
So I am house sitting for two dogs this week, but unfortunately their owner has a slightly different sleep cycle than I do (she goes to bed much later). So I have been letting the dogs out before going to bed (admittedly later for myself than usual) around 11:30 or 12:00. They have been returning the favor by waking me up between 3:30 and 4:30 am to go out again.
I dont understand it.
I am so sleepy I am a little shaky. I am so glad that Hope comes home tomorrow. I hope the dogs let me sleep a little bit more tonight too.

Random Thoughts
Happy Wednesday all!
Just thought I would update whats going on here in Pittsburgh. I am now staying with a very nice woman for whom I will house and dog sit whenever she needs. Its about a mile and a half from campus so it gives me a really nice short commute. The only issue I have with that is that my car doesnt even warm up by the time I make it to campus and its is VERY VERY cold out. They have closed most public schools in the area due to the freezing temperatures a couple of days this week already.
Yesterday there was a problem with the heating system in the building - my office was FREEZING. Today is much better though.
Well I have an interesting day today. I am giving exams in my classes and I have to take an exam in my recitation section for 211. So while my classes are taking a test I will be studying for the next test. :p
This weekend I think I am going to spend either part of Sat. or Sun. walking around the museum in town.
I am coming home for the weekend two weeks from now, and I have to go upstate that monday in order to go to court for dad's estate. Hopefully after this is all done everything can be resolved. Its been such a drawn out process - all I can say is make a will...

CMU Day 2
Yikes.
So much to do and some cool weather today. IT SNOWED!!! it was all nice and pretty without sticking to the roads and being dangerous.
So today is one of my easy days. I am auditing an algorithms course in the middle of the day and also a "Special Topics: Competition programming and problem solving" course that should make me a much better programming team advisor (I promise to talk about any interesting problems).
Tomorrow is my busy day. I go from 9 in the morning until 4:30 with only an hour break for lunch and then have a 3 hour night class. ouch. But I am only teaching for 4 of those hours so its not as bad.
I fogot how to be a student. After being a teacher/educator for so long its weird to get back into the student mode. I have to stop critiquing the teaching methods that the professors are using and start paying more attention to the content :p
Anyway - more updates to come... as the adventures in pittsburgh continue.
